This year has been extremely challenging for so many around the world. Local Maryland businesses have struggled to such a degree that many have had to close. We want to be a part of positive economic change in our communities and so we are urging everyone to shop local this holiday season in Maryland.
“Shop Maryland for the Holidays’ annual campaign was announced Oct. 26, as an initiative to buy local for this upcoming holiday season by Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot. The campaign will be partnering with Maryland Retailers Associate and restaurants with a new addition of credit unions this year.”
If you’re like so many other Marylanders, you love your state and all that it has to offer. It is also extremely important to shop local in Maryland for the holidays for those that can’t make it home. Citing an "exponential growth" in Covid-19 cases, federal public health officials urge people to stay home during the holidays.
Send the gift of Maryland this year. Our online shop has local Maryland gifts for the holidays that any recipient will love! Another thing to consider when shopping local in Maryland is the fact that many of your favorite items are harder to get now that many stores have closed.
Please check out our Specialty Boxes. There you’ll find Jeppi Nuts, Berger Cookies, Fisher’s Popcorn and so many more of your favorite local Maryland treats.
